E108 – Advanced Wastewater Treatment with MBR technology

Currently with a great pressure on water bodies, scarcity of resources and high environmental awareness, all together with the high regulatory demand in water treatment and protection of water bodies , water reuse is becoming increasingly important.

Within the reuse of water, membrane technologies have become one of the most widely used processes
Membrane bioreactors (MBR) allow wastewater to be purified and regenerated at the same time so that it is suitable for the vast majority of uses allowed according to the legislation of each country.

The evolution of this technology occurs day by day, so it is necessary to acquire or update knowledge related to these wastewater regeneration processes.

Aim

The course focuses on the practical aspects of optimizing a plant under the MBR system, from the initial design stage to the commissioning phase.
On the other hand, for those who are introduced to this technology, the key aspects in relation to the theory of membrane processes and applications to wastewater treatment are explained.

With a total of 11 modules, they are dedicated to analyzing the design, installation, operation, maintenance and control strategies used in MBR wastewater treatment plants.
On the other hand, the characteristics of the systems composed of hollow fiber, flat sheet and Multitube membranes are reviewed.

Who can benefit from this course?

The course is aimed at professionals in the field of design of wastewater treatment plants.
Chemical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Agronomists and Forestry Engineers, Graduates in Environmental Sciences and other related degrees, as well as grade students of those careers
